About Our Company

Hobo Electric, LLC was founded in 2006 by Eldon Penner. Eldon had been in the electrical industry most of his life. After taking a break and trying some other life adventures, he came back to the occupation that he loved. Thus, Hobo Electric was born. Hobo Electric started off as a small business with only two employees, who could be performing electrical work one day and then farm work for Mr. Penner the next. Eldon grew the business, and we started hiring more employees to keep up with the workload. Eldon’s sons (Dallas and Denver) grew up in the trade and he taught them to love doing what he loved. Dallas decided to marry a girl from Kansas, and so they made the move from Texas. Denver stayed with Hobo Electric throughout the years that followed. Over the years, Hobo Electric has grown substantially in customer base and number of employees. In 2022 Eldon and Denver entered a partnership with Hobo Electric. In December of 2022, Eldon passed away after a long battle with cancer. It was his desire that Hobo Electric continue to run and grow. Upon his passing, Denver took over the business.

To this day, Hobo Electric is continually growing and expanding its services. We offer a wide range of services in residential, commercial, ag work, grain elevator, service work, Generac Generators, hospital work, and industrial work. We offer services in Wharton, Jackson, Colorado, Matagorda, Victoria, Ft. Bend, Calhoun Counties and other surrounding areas. If your area isn’t listed, call us. When hobo Electric was being born, Eldon was driving down the road in an old ’93 Chevy truck that had seen better days. A Lobo Trucking company truck passed him, and he started thinking… a couple of guys doing electrical work in an old farm truck. Perhaps Hobo would be a good name, and so the name Hobo Electric was born.
